Sealed proposals will be received by the Weehawken Board of Education on May 28, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Board of Education, 53 Liberty Place, Weehawken, New Jersey for the following:

ASBESTOS AND EQUIPMENT
ABATEMENT, REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL
ROOSEVELT AND WEBSTER SCHOOLS

Specifications and instructions may be obtained from the Board of Education Office. Site inspections are scheduled for May 19, 2008. Participants for site inspections shall meet at the Board Office, 53 Liberty Place at 10:00 a.m. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope and marked on the outside thereof: "BID FOR ASBESTOS AND EQUIPMENT ABATEMENT, REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL, ROOSEVELT AND WEBSTER SCHOOLS."

Each bid must conform to the specifications. Bids will be publicly opened at the above time and place, read aloud and referred to the Board for consideration and award. No bid will be accepted after 11:00 a.m. on May 28, 2008.

Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975 C. 127. Corporate bidders are required by law (Chap. 33, Law of 1977), to submit a list of names and addresses of all stockholders owning 10% or more of their stock. Failure to comply will be cause to reject the bid.

The Board reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive any informalities if it is deemed in the best interest of the Board of Education to do so.
