Weehawken Waterfront Park and Recreation Center

On Tuesday, September 25th, 2007, the Township of Weehawken officially opened the Weehawken Waterfront Park and Recreation Center, providing the public with over 16 acres of recreation space on the bank of the Hudson River.

Weehawken's heritage as a working port presented a number of challenges to the conversion of what was once an industrial area into a safe, green space for our Town. The Township government has worked hard to insure that this site would be a park that is safe for all to enjoy. The following documents contain information about the extensive site remediation undertaken:
The Weehawken Waterfront Park and Recreation Center will provide residents and visitors alike with green spaces, a spectacular view and first class facilities. It is just one more thing that makes Weehawken a great place to live and work.
